This rescheduled program will take place in the Grand Hall and is admission-free to attend.

The Museum welcomes Carla Giger, author of “Starbuck: The Little Town that Could.” Starbuck’s beginning in 1882 as a strategic railroad station will be explained along with the history of Commodore Starbuck’s gift of a bell in 1893 to the first church and where it is now.  The explosion of steamboat Annie Faxon in 1893, the construction of the Jaussaud/JoSo Bridge completion in 1914, and how the events impacted the small town. The talk will include information about the early town marshals, bank robberies, fires, businesses, churches, schools, and community events. There will be books for sale in the Museum Store.
