Fort Walla Walla Museum’s library

The Museum’s library catalog is searchable online and accessible to the public! Use the search box above to see what’s available. Books in our library are available for library-use only, meaning the books do not leave the building.

To access the library in person, you must schedule an appointment to visit the library using the form below. Appointments are available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am to 3pm— and there is no time limit for your visit. Other times may be available upon request. Access to the library is entirely free for Museum members. For non-members, access to the library costs the same as the usual cost of admission ($12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students)—and library visitors are welcome to check out the exhibits while they’re here.

If you’re interested in research assistance on a particular topic from a library associate or staff member, other fees apply. Research assistance includes searching our artifact database (and visiting the repository to see artifacts / have a new photograph taken) and using tools like Ancestry.com or other resources at our disposal. Museum members are charged $45/hour, non-members $55/hour.
