In honor of Memorial Day, Sherilyn Jacobson will be sharing some of the research that helped identify the 93 names on the World War II Memorial in front of the Museum. The book Infamy & Beyond: Servicemen from Walla Walla County, WA, who died in WWII, shares the stories of these local men who died in service to this country. Jacobson will talk about collecting the biographical information and photos from archives and surviving family members so those who were lost will not be forgotten.

From the introduction:
"We want readers to remember that for every casualty whose name is engraved on the monument, there was a family and friends who suffered from his loss. The servicemen paid the ultimate price for freedom, but many other people were also affected."

This event is free to attend and will begin at 5 pm in the Grand Hall.
