Cavalry Display

From 10am-5pm on Friday, June 16 and 10am-2pm on Saturday, June 17.

Devin Breach and Paige Breach, members of the Fort Boise Garrison Cavalry, will be at the Museum for a Living History reenactment— with an actual horse! Their group often portrays the 1st Oregon Volunteers, whose headquarters were at Fort Walla Walla in 1862. Their job was to protect the miners, and immigrants traveling and mining in those areas. The 1st Oregon Volunteer Cavalry Regiment were then distributed by companies A through M all over Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.
