Museum After Hours: LiDAR & the Earth Archive

  • Fort Walla Walla Museum 755 Northeast Myra Road Walla Walla, WA, 99362 United States (map)

We are glad to welcome Dr. Christopher Fisher to the Museum After Hours stage this January. A professor of anthropology, his work involves using LiDAR, a dense grid of infrared beams, to scan the surface of the Earth. This technology has made it possible to create a virtual copy of the Earth, documenting what the world’s landscape looks like now & preserving it for future generations.

This will be a virtual presentation. Guests are invited to join us in the Grand Hall, where they can watch the lecture live and ask questions.
